Preamble

V.R.Kota anicut under medium irrigation was constructed in 1956 across manneru river near V.R.Kota village in lingasamudram Mandal. The anicut Feeds Machavaram and mopadu tanks in kandukur mandal through a supply channel (Reddy kaluva) having a capacity of 100 Cusec.The ayacut under anicut is 5555 Acres.
